20’s is a time where everything seems possible, you technically have a lot of time to do anything.
But you choose to waste that positive energy on things that does not have any impact to your personal development and lifestyle.
Here are some of the habits and hang ups we face on regular basics and what to do to let them go.
1. Stop comparing yourself to everyone else
it’s essential for you to let yourself be motivated by the success of others.
This will inspire and push you to accomplish more for your own life. the dark side of this is envy. Your 20s are a time for you to learn to be focused on self-development and not others.
2. Stop being lazy.
Do you want to be productive and start living, you basically need to start learning new things.
You need to find what skills that you find to your interest and get good at it.
you will see the joy from learning skills in your 20s.
3. Stop procrastinating.
if you find yourself procrastinating, no matter how little the task is you need to avert from that habit.
Sometimes, procrastinating is same as been lazy. Instead of working, creating, and contributing. You settle for an infinite array of tasks that will keep you distracted.
Start making time for things that matter.
4. Stop blaming others.
it’s your life and you are responsible for it.
you are not a kid anymore, so its time to own up to your own failings.
you have a lot to learn in life if you chose to stay static with this habit, you will end up making the same mistakes.
5. Get out of your routine.
Don’t let the prime of your life slip you by. Start taking advantage of the adventures life.
if you keep up with repeating your regular routine you definitely won’t make room for self-development.
You are type that don’t like discomforting yourself you choose chatting on social to going out there to make friends with real people.
6. Negative self-talk.
we easily drift in saying negative things to utr self and criticizing our self which has a negative effect to our well-being, instead replace self-criticism with encouragement and practice self-compassion. Speak to yourself with kindness and support. I usually say my words of affirmations after I wake up every morning.
7. Perfectionism.
allow me to make a demo of what this is. If I get a camera I will start my YouTube channel. If I get this I will start doing that. WHEN I…..IF I……
That has always been an excuse of most people waiting for something that even if you get it you won’t go fully in into that goal you set. This might sound familiar. We need to embrace imperfection and take actions toward you goals.
The more you wait the more you procrastinate.
8. Impulsive decision.
you need to know what you want and critically think about it and make the right choices.
I decided to deal with my goals and making the moves and sacrifices needed to get that goal to my reality, consider the long-term consequences of your decisions.
In at that emotional intelligence is key to over coming this indecisiveness.
9. Lack of self-care.
you cannot get your life together if you have a bad heath, there is a saying health is wealth and that applies in our daily life. Imagine having a million dollars and not able to use it to treat your health. Start early to keep your health in check I started going to the gym 4 times in a week for years and same time started reading self-help books to keep my mentally levels up. Prioritize physical and mental well-being.
10. Unhealthy relationship.
the five people you surround yourself you are the average of that circle that why your circle of friends matters. If you constantly surround yourself with individuals there always complaining and thinking negative, you will be like that.
I did something good for myself by limiting the rime I spend with negative people and slowly cutting them off.
Embrace positive people and supportive people if you want to grow.
Remember, your 20’s are a time of growth and exploration. By stopping these habits, you’ll be better equipped to navigate this decade and set yourself up for success in the years to come. By breaking some of this habits, you will be better.
Be kind to yourself as you work through these habits.
STAY BEASTLY……..
